Lillie Lumina

Lillie Lumina is a soulful singer-songwriter based out of the mountains of Asheville, NC. Coined as “Earthy Spirit Folk,” Lillie’s music is rich with raw emotion, powerful melodies, and heartfelt lyrics that invite listeners into a deep space within themselves. With each note, she gives voice to universal experiences that connect us all.

Emotional expression and authenticity are at the root of all that she does. She believes firmly in the power of music to heal, transform, and connect us as human beings and is passionate about creating safe containers for people to access this power.

Lillie received her B.A. in Music Therapy from Appalachian State University in 2015 with a concentration in classical voice and the use of musical improvisation as a tool to communicate emotions with diverse clinical populations. Throughout high school and college she performed in a variety of ensembles, including jazz vocal ensemble, gospel choir, women’s ensemble, musicals, operas, and a’cappella groups. She blends these experiences with with her personal healing journey, which has involved the integration of sound, movement, energy, symbology, mythology, play, nature connection, poetry, and visual art, to create a unique niche genre.

As part a Movement of music and art that comes from a place of personal and collective awakening, Lillie’s performances are so much more than entertainment-they are ceremony. Her  grounded presence creates a portal for the audience to experience transformation, connection, and emotional release. Her lyrics are prayers and her voice carries vibrational healing as she sings directly to your heart.

Vocal Empowerment Workshops

Explore the delight of embodied expression through sound! Using a combination of breathwork and vocal toning, we explore what it feels like to step more powerfully into using our unique voices without fear or judgement, releasing any stories that hold us back from our full expression. We use this container as a way to practice holding each person’s unique expression within community. By tuning in to our own unique vibration, we can begin to discover the voice as a profound gateway for connection and transformation. By expressing our own unique vibration alongside other unique vibrations we create a rich and diverse community song.

Community Song Circle

We gather to sing from our hearts. This is a practice of remembering that each of us has an avenue directly to the heart through the voice. This practice is about deep feeling, connection to the voice and cultivating a sense of interbeing and belonging by combining our voices as one. We sing songs that are relatively simple, easy to learn “call and response,” that bring us into our hearts and a feeling of interconnectedness. Rather than performing music, we share in the meditative practice of allowing music to move through the group field.
